A comic horror novel. Set in 1952 South America, the story focuses on "Hi" Hickenlooper, morosely combing the jungles in search of the ancient lost city his father had been convinced he would find. A few years earlier, Hi had a fling with Argentinian Maria Eva Duarte until she left him for Juan Peron. Now that Eva is supposedly dead, Hi meets a woman who looks exactly like her. The mystery woman turns out to be the real Eva Peron, turned into a vampire by an immortal Adolf Hitler, who is planning world conquest from a secret compound called Neuanfang. Hi is enlisted into a plot to find the compound and get Eva back.
