The Vampire Lestat

The second book in the series focuses on Lestat, the vampire who created Louis. Able to speak in his own defense, Lestat recounts his youth and his own turning by a mysterious vampire with a predilection for beautiful blonde young men, his turning his own mother, and his adventures up to the present day. He gives his own version of his relationship with Louis, and his first encounters with Armand and the vampires of Paris.
